Carbon is a new previously unreleased song by Astral Sleep. This piece was recorded in the summer 2010 when we were making the pre-production demos for our next full length album. Originally this song was supposed to be part of the new album. We felt, however, that this song is more of an independent chapter and should therefore be released separately from the rest of the songs.

Carbon is a prologue for the "Visions" storyline that will be told on our upcoming full length album. Without further ado:

The endless road

We will now retreat back to our dungeons to prepare this Summer's ritual. The new album will be a towering piece of Doom and the material will scrape the inside of your brain to dust and then reform it in a new and strange way... at least if we succeed in capturing thise wild dreams and musical visions on the studio's hard disk. After this final confrontation with the outside world Astral Sleep will concentrate on arranging and rehearsing new songs for the upcoming full length album that will be recorded during this Summer.

Astral Sleep is a band that writes mostly slow material, and due to that fact our working has always been in correlation with the music as being slow as painful dying. "After a long wait" is our motto. It once again becomes true when the short album we recorded in summer 2008, has been finally released through Solitude Productions. The album is entitled: "ANGEL"

"Angel" is a theme album about angels, God and Satan in the world today. The album contains 3 unique tracks written by Markus, Jaakko and Rolle, respectively one song each. The lyrics were written by Markus and they are the same in every song. Lyrics can be read from the "Music" section.
